The Center has partnered with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) to support the provision of the strategic planning TTA offered by this program. Expert assistance from NPC Research will be made available to sites interested in building capacity related tocost-related research (e.g., specific approaches to cost-benefit analysis, data required to identify returns on investment, etc.).
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL)
NACDL is the preeminent organization in the United States advancing the goal of the criminal defense bar to ensure justice and due process for persons charged with a crime or wrongdoing. NACDL envisions a society where all individuals receive fair, rational, and humane treatment within the criminal justice system. Founded in 1958, NACDL has a rich history of promoting education and reform through myriad projects at the state, local, and federal levels, regularly collaborating with partners across the criminal justice system to safeguard due process rights.
NPC Research
NPC Research has provided quality cost analysis, social services evaluation, policy analysis, research, and training for more than 30 years. NPC’s record is recognized nationally, particularly in the areas of cost-benefit measurement, process and policy analysis, and outcome research. NPC designs outcome and cost studies, develops databases, collects qualitative and quantitative data, manages and analyzes large administrative data sets, prepares reports for diverse audiences, and provides ongoing feedback to promote continuous quality improvement. NPC provides direct assistance and training to sites related to cost-benefit approaches, designs and data collection.
